I saw my first lighthouse in 1992. It was the Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport Oregon. I saw it from afar and it was love at first sight! My delight was doubled when I found another even more charming lighthouse tucked in a safe cozy little knoll inside of the town! The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. It is the queen of lighthouses for me. Perfect in every way. Victorian with a ghost story attached. Four years later Dennis and I were married in it's delicate little parlor....we visit each year to renew the romance and drink in the charming spell it weaves over us. I have so enjoyed reading and seeing all of the post here since Christmas...the vintage pages draw me in. I am so amazed by your family Leslie...maybe even a bit of wishful thinking on my part, that they were mine:)
